"My favorite Côte-Rôtie is from the highly traditionalist producer Domaine Jamet, whose wines are the gutsiest, most intense, and most aromatically complex of the appellation. Jamet does not have a high profile, as neither of the two brothers who run the estate speak much English, nor do they care to travel to promote their wines. This is fine by me. As long as they keep busy producing what is one of the three greatest wines of the northern Rhône, I am happy (the other two: Chave Hermitage and Allemand Cornas)."
