Bernhard Ott is the Wagram's young and energetic leader, and his mastery of Grüner Veltliner in the Wagram's loess soils has gained him a great deal of attention. Ott took over from his father 15 years ago and began bottling everything under Stelvin closures. He also began converting his 30 hectares to biodynamic cultivation and is seeking Demeter certification. 

Ott is a Grüner specialist and his wines are consistently among the best in Austria. Roughly 90% of Ott's vineyards are planted to Grüner Veltliner from which come five, sometimes six, different Grüner bottlings. His top Rosenberg Grüner bottling is mind-bending with tight minerality, with infused intensity nearly impossible to find elsewhere.
