Christophe Bellang is a shy and unassuming grower in the Burgundian village of Meursault. He's been quietly setting up a small domaine with choice vineyards in two regions: Meursault (from his father), and Savigny-lès-Beaune (from his mother's family). Christophe's father, Christian, sold the grapes he grew to the négociants in Beaune, but as Christophe gained more and more responsibilities in the family business, he began bottling the family's efforts under their own label.

Christophe has put a lot of work into the vineyards, making sure the domaine's wines are top-quality from the very get-go. He's an introvert, which you notice right away about him, and his winemaking style emphasizes freshness and minerality-a style we like very much! This is modern Meursault without the heavy texture and overtly rich flavors (read: "oxidative") that still persist in the village.

From Pinot Noir vines in Savigny-lès-Beaune, this wine has classic Savigny fraises des bois nose with pretty floral and spice notes. It has excellent richness, a full mid-palate, and excellent length.
