Friuli's famous quality wine zones of Collio and Colli Orientalli del Friuli, or "COF," give wines of stony minerality and Alpine aromatics of pine, balsam, and mountain herbs. As one drives towards the sea and into the flatter alluvial plain of the Isonzo zone, one can't help but notice that wines begin to show sea salt and brine.

The Tenuta di Angoris winery is located inside the Isonzo zone where they farm 70 hectares of densely planted vines. The Isonzo wines are bottled under the name Villa Locatelli to differentiate them from their more powerful (and more expensive) Collio and COF wines.

Ripe apples and zippy lime-like acidity gives the crisp and refreshing qualities of Sauvignon without the greenness. Aged entirely in stainless steel tanks. Pair with steamed white fish, green salads, or mild cheeses.
